The Bolívar brand was created in 1902. Named after the legendary Simón Bolívar, the military leader of Venezuela who went on to lead Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador to independence.

Belicosos Finos

Vitola: Pyramid Ring Gauge: 52 Length (mm): 140mm

Not as strong or as spicy as the Partagas Serie P No. 2, I find the Bolívar Belicosos Finos a suave Cigar. The typical Bolívar flavours are there, but they're not as punchy as some other vitolas in the brand.

The Belicosos Finos comes in both a slide lid box and dress box of twenty five. The Slide Lid Box is slightly more harder to find, but worth the search if you intend to age the Cigars.

Coronas Extras

Vitola: Grand Corona Ring Gauge: 46 Length (mm): 143mm

One of the best Cigars in the Bolívar range, the Coronas Extras will be sadly missed as it was announced it would be discontinued in 2012. My favourite Cigar in the Bolívar range. The flavour profile, the Corona Gorda size & the construction is top notch.

Petit Corona

Vitola: Petit Corona Ring Gauge: 42 Length (mm): 129mm

Along with the Por Larrañaga Petit Corona, my favourite 'go to' Cigar of this size. Possibly one of the strongest vitolas available in terms of flavour in the Bolívar range, the Petit Corona has strong notes of leather, spice and espresso. The cabinet of fifty are highly recommended if you can source yourself a box.

Royal Coronas

Vitola: Robusto Ring Gauge: 50 Length (mm): 124mm

Pretty much every review of the Bolívar Royal Coronas I have read or watched online has been a positive one. I'm glad to announce that over the last few years, the Royal Coronas has not let me down.

The Royal Coronas was voted Cigar Aficionado's Cigar of the Year for 2007, that prompted many aficionado's to revisit this once overlooked Cigar.

Tubos No. 1

Vitola: Corona Ring Gauge: 42 Length (mm): 142mm

I've always found the Bolivar Tubos No. 1 good value when it comes to strength. This Corona sized Cigar gives plenty of flavour.
