Soggy Bottom is Jennings' Brewery Seasonal Ale for January. Light on ABV at 3.8%, however it manages to pack in a lot of flavour and complexity.
Funny name aside, this Ale from Jennings Brewery packs malt, hops, biscuit and cream together gracefully in a pint. It's almost like drinking velvet.
There's hops here, but malt is the star attraction. On the palate, the hops gives way very quickly to a creamy, malt and biscuit finish with a slight, only a little mind, bitter finish.
An exceptional Seasonal Ale from Jennings. Drink it while you can.
Smell: Toffee, Malty
Taste: Hoppy
