Juan Lopez, Quai D'Orsay 2013 French Regional Editions appear
The latest edition of the French Cigar magazine L'Amateur de Cigare has small section on two new Regional Editions for 2013 - the Juan Lopez Minutos and the Quai D'Orsay Belicoso Royal.
Whilst word on Regional Editions has slowly trickled accross the Internet from various outlets, one country where we haven't heard a peep about is France... until now.
The popular French Cigar magazine, L'Amateur de Cigare lists not one, but two Regional Editions scheduled for release in 2013 exclusively for the French market! Since 2012, Habanos SA enforced the policy that each country could only produce one Regional Edition Cigar for each country. How the French managed to bypass this I do not know.
Below is an image of the section in L'Amateur de Cigare that lists the two French Regional Edition:
As you can see from the image above, the French Cigar market will be treated
to the Juan López Minutos,
and the Quai d'Orsay Belicoso Royal.
Both Cigars are small, forty minute smokes. French Regional Editions have
historically been small Cigars, with the Bolívar Petit Libertador,
Punch Small Club and the El Rey Del Mundo Petit Compañia being notable releases in the last few years. L'Amateur de Cigare lists
the Minuto retailing for €8.50 and the Belicosos Royal for €12.50.
For a minuto, the Juan Lopez is premiumly priced and therefore I really
hope it delivers in terms in construction and flavours!
Below is some information regarding both Cuban Cigars:
Minutos - French Regional Edition
The Minutos were released on the French market in the second week of December 2013, with the Belicosos Royal shortly after.
Belicoso Royal - French Regional Edition
The Belicoso Royal was finally released in the middle of January 2014, and is currently retailing at around €15 a piece.
