The Montecristo 520 has been to produced to celebrate 520 years since the discovery of tobacco.
The Montecristo 520 follows the trend of recent large ring gauged Montecristo limited editions after the Sublime and Grand Edmundo.
Expected to be released first in the United Kingdom, the last time a Robusto shaped H. Upmann made an appearance was back in 2008 when it was released in a six pack leather bound humidor with a built-in hygrometer.
Released in the second half of 2012, the Quintero Favoritos made it's debut in the Spanish market.
Six months later in January 2013, other international markets, including the United Kingdom and Hong Kong starting receiving shipments of the Quintero Favoritos.
The Favoritos has the largest ring gauge of the brand, and has a unique factory vitola of Concha No.2.
The Petit Churchill is the third release after the Short and Wide Churchill, to take it's cue from the legendary Romeo y Julieta Churchill.
Released at the end of October 2012, the Petit Churchill will be a welcome addition to the smoking rotation of any aficionado's who enjoy the flavour profile of the Short Churchill but wish it was available in a smaller size.
Measuring in at 4 inches by 50 ring gauge, the Petit Churchill shares it's size with the Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robustos.
La Casa del Habanos Release
The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe is a special release, available exclusively in La Casa de Habano shops worldwide. The Epicure de Luxe come in wooden slide boxes of ten.
The blend of the Epicure de Luxe is true to the Hoyo de Monterrey line. Light to medium body with a touch of sweetness.

The Punch Sir John is the first Regional Edition of 2012 to be officially released. Exclusively made for the German market, the Punch Sir John is length of 127mm, by 48 ring gauge.
Italy - Por Larrañaga Small Robusto - Italian Regional Edition
The Por Larrañaga Small Robusto is the 2012 Regional Edition for Italy. As of the end of November 2012, the Small Robusto is yet to have been released.
Lebanon - Ramon Allónes Eshmoun 30 - Lebanon Regional Edition
The Ramon Allones Eshmoun 30 is the largest of all 2012 Regional Editions, measuring in at 164mm and 54 ring gauge.
Like many previous regional editions intended for the middle eastern markets, the Eshmoun 30 continues the tradition of large, hefty Cigars. This bucks the trends of regional editions for other countries, particularly European markets, where the Regional Edition Releases are usually smaller in size.
The Eshmoun 30 started to appear on the market around April 2013.
An interesting side note, there have been 6000 boxes produced of the Ramon Allones Eshmoun 30, with each containing twenty five cigars. That's a lot of Sublimes. Will be interesting if the Eshmoun 30 sell out very quickly or will be around for a few years.
Spain - Diplomáticos Colleccion Privada - Spanish Regional Edition
I'm not exactly sure when did the Diplomaticos Colleccion Privada become available to the Spanish Market, but reports indicate it was either November or December 2012.
The Colleccion Privada is the first Edition Regional that has been released under the Diplomaticos brand. Exclusive to Spain, this Petit Robustos will no doubt become a collectors item.
Spain - Por Larrañaga Legendarios - Spanish Regional Edition
Switzerland - Vegas Robaina Petit Unicos - Swiss Regional Edition
The Vegas Robaina Petit Unicos is the only 2012 Regional Edition for Switzerland. This relatively small Cigar, although shares the same name as the Ramon Allones Petit Unicos, are not the same size.
United Kingdom - Ramon Allónes Petit Belicosos - United Kingdom Regional Edition
Released Monday, 8th October, 2012. Advertised as the 'little brother' of the 2005 United Kingdom Regional Release, the Ramon Allones Belicosos.
United Kingdom - Ramon Allónes Hunters & Frankau Aniversario 225 - United Kingdom Regional Edition
The Ramon Allónes Hunters & Frankau Aniversario 225 commemorates two hundred and twenty five years since the founding of Hunters & Frankau, the exclusive distributor of Cuban Cigars in the United Kingdom. The Cigars were rolled in 2012 and shipped over to Hunters & Frankau in June 2013, where they will be aged for two years in the company's own warehouse.
Launched at the 2015 Hunters & Frankau Summer Party, at the Belgrave Square on June 19th in London, the Hunters & Frankau Aniversario 225 is the most anticipated United Kingdom Regional Edition since 2007's Por Larrañaga Magnificos.
2015 Habanos Festival
During the 2015 Habanos Festival, that was held in February of that year, a few lucky people were able to smoke a sample of the Hunters & Frankau Aniversario 225. Pictures have been posted via social media sites as Instagram and Twitter, with the general consensus that the cigar is going to live up to hype.
Long term aficionado and cigar forum contributor Ryan posted an image of the Ramon Allónes Hunters & Frankau Aniversario 225 that he received whilst at the Habanos Festival in Cuba:
Ryan's verdict on the cigar: they're very nice. His tasting notes:
A very nice wrapper, colorado, smooth with no veins and a silky feel rare in modern Habanos cigars. Nice volatiles of sweet spice in the pre-light aroma. On cutting, about halfway down the shoulder, the draw is perfect. The cigar feels good in the hand with a nice weight for its size. Not underfilled. 1st third. Main impressions are of sweet caramel with a spice on the nose. Not the ammonia spice of a young cigar. Christmas spices. From the rounded finish and lack of harshness I would guess that this was not a freshly rolled cigar. The flavour progresses into something like creamy, toasted marshmallow. Very nice. 2nd third Less sweet now, spice on the nose with caramel back again, this time with more depth, a longer finish. Last third Quite strong now and the spiciness increases. Not harsh but strong. Overall Impression This is a very good cigar. Good to smoke now but has the strength, sweetness and finish already to age very well. This combination of sweetness and spice can age extraordinarily well. This could be a great cigar in 2-5 years. Patience could be rewarded, the longer you can wait.
