Box of Partagás Selección Privada

It's interesting to note that the wrappers aren't as dark as what you'd expect of an Edicion Limitada. Both the Bolívar Super Coronas and Cohiba Robustos Supremos, the other 2014 Limited Editions, have notably darker wrappers than the Selección Privada.

Additional Information

Wrong band on the U.K. shipment

It seems that the shipment of boxes that were sent to the U.K. were banded wrongly. The Partagás band should have the words 'Seleccion Privada' printed however they are mysteriously absent. Like a misprint on a coin, these boxes may become more sought after in time.

Reviews from the Internet

As of the end of October 2014, there have been a few initial reviews of the Partagás Selección Privada. Please keep in mind the Selección Privada has only been available for a short time and thus will be a while before the true characteristics of the cigar will come to the fore.

James J. Fox

Nic Barker of London cigar retailer James J. Fox reviews the Selección Privada Partagás and whilst he found the burn uneven during the first two inches, this did not distract from how the cigar smoked. He found the cigar had the hallmarks of the Partagás brand - robust, earthy with plenty of pepper.

Cigar Land

Reviewer Urs Stephan Adler was particularly impressed with the full bodied, spicy smoke with plenty of complexity that leads him to think that the cigar has great ageing potential that will 'develop additional quality over time.'
