Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro, Cuban Cigar Information
An under the radar Corona. The Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro is a light, easy going cigar with notes of honey, vanilla and cream, mixed with a spicy Cubanesque twang.
Usually referred to as the Quai d'Orsay Coronas, the actual name of the cigar is Coronas Claro. Along with the Montecristo Coronas and Bolivar Tubos No. 1, the Coronas Claro is one of only three Corona sized cigars in regular production.
My view on the Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro
I often rotate the Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro amongst other light bodied Cuban brands such as Hoyo de Monterrey and El Rey del Mundo. Usually in the morning, or after a gym session, I will light up the Coronas Claro as the easy going, mild flavour profile won't hit me for six while my body is waking up or in recovery mode.
For such an under the radar cigar, I find the construction of this cigar excellent. As it does not come in a dress box, the Coronas Claro does not experience from the box press nature as what you would find with a Montecristo Corona. Additionally, you will find that the Coronas Claro is sold at a slightly less price point then other cigars of the same vitola, making it a little known bargain. One to try.
