Limited Edition Cuban Cigars
As of January 2017 we are still awaiting release of the Montecristo Dantes. It has been reported that the Dantes will begin shipping mid to late February. The Dantes is the last of the three 2016 Limited Editions to be released, after the Romeo Y Julieta Capuletos and Trinidad Topes.
Released towards the end of 2016, the Trinidad Topes is well regarded amongst smokers. At 56 ring gauge, the Topes up until 2016 is the second largest ring gauge after the Cohiba Robustos Supremos.
Like other vitolas within the Trinidad line, the Topes has the unmistakable pigtail foot.
The second and final Limited Edition for 2015, the Ramon Allónes Club Allones was released in September 2015. Initial reviews of the cigar have been mixed.
The first 2015 Limited Edition to be released, available in Swiss La Casa del Habanos stores on the 27th July 2015.
The Robustos Supremos is the first Cuban Cigar to have a 58 ring gauge, making this Cigar currently the thickest Cuban Cigar in living memory. The Robustos Supremos follows in the footsteps of the Cohiba Behike and Pirámides Extras in utilising the new Cohiba Hologram band. Released in the last week of November 2014 in the major European markets.
The first Limited Edition for 2014 to be released, the Partagás Selección Privada comes in dress boxes of ten. Swiss retailers were the first to receive shipment of the Selección Privada in the final week of September 2014.

It's interesting to note that the wrappers aren't as dark as what you'd expect of an Edicion Limitada. Both the Bolívar Super Coronas and Cohiba Robustos Supremos, the other 2014 Limited Editions, have notably darker wrappers than the Selección Privada.

Shortly before the release of the Partagás Selección Privada, the United Kingdom's exclusive distributor of Cuban cigars, Hunters & Frankau posted these two pictures on their Twitter feed:

Unveiled at the 2013 Habanos Festival in February, the Hoyo de Monterrey Grand Epicure comes in a Slide Lid Box of ten Cigars. This is quite an interesting Limited Edition release as the Grand Epicure is presented in two rows of five Cigars.
The Hoyo de Monterrey Grand Epicure, is a fifty five ring gauge, by thirteen centimetres in length. This will make the Grand Epicure a thicker, longer version of the Epicure No. 2. Therefore the Grand Epicure will share the same dimensions as the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill.
The Cigar features a special "Double Band". This band is similar to the one found on the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe, 2012 La Casa Del Habanos release.
The Romeo de Luxe was the last of the three 2013 Limited Editions to be released, at the tail end of October 2013.
When the promotional images came out for the Romeo de Luxe, the images depicated two types of boxes, a dress box and a varnished semi-boite nature version. However, the varnished version was the final released version.
The Serie D'Oro No. 2 is the first Edition Limiteda released under the Punch marquee.
Released in early August 2013, the Punch Serie D'Oro No. 2 made it's debut first in the UK, with the major retailers offering the Cigar for sale, with Switzerland following a few days later.
The Montecristo 520 has been to produced to celebrate 520 years since the discovery of tobacco.
The Montecristo 520 follows the trend of recent large ring gauged Montecristo limited editions after the Sublime and Grand Edmundo.
Expected to be released first in the United Kingdom, the last time a Robusto shaped H. Upmann made an appearance was back in 2008 when it was released in a six pack leather bound humidor with a built-in hygrometer.
The first time that a Limited Edition Cigar has been ordained by the Ramon Allones brand, the Allones Extras was released in 2011 and immediately became a big hit amongst Cigar aficionado's who were impressed by it's flavour profile and ageing potential.
A recreation of an old vitola within the Ramon Allones brand that was discontinued long ago in the 1960's, the Allones Extra has been faithfully recreated, right down to the band. The band that the Allones Extras sports is in fact an old style that ordained all Ramon Allones Cigars before the revolution until around 1972 where it was replaced with a band very similar to what we have today. Although two toned white and ivy, the band is quite striking and in fact unique against other Limited Editions.
The flavour profile of the Allones Extra is typical Ramon Allones, in a supercharged form. Medium to full in flavour, there’s plenty of fruit cake like flavours, with a hit of espresso. In terms of ageing, the Allones Extras will no-doubt slowly start to calm in flavour profile, into a smooth, complex smoke, if you can manage to lay the Cigar down.
A re-release of the 2000 Montecristo Robusto Limited Edition, this time in a 25 count wooden box as opposed to a 25 count dress box.
