Cwrw Gaeaf by Tomos Watkin

Tomos Watkin's Cwrw Gaeaf is one of regular production Ale's and is available all year round. Easy to find in your local supermarket.

Type: Speciality
ABV: 4.7%
Brewery: Tomos Watkin

Contrary to it's name, Tomos Watkin's Cwrw Gaeaf (English for Winter Ale), is available all year round. Darker than other Ale's from the brewery, Cwrw Gaeaf looks very molasses based with a very frothy head.

At 4.7% ABV, Cwrw Gaeaf is light on texture. With a bitter, honey like. With a fresh, bite on the tongue.

I find Cwrw Gaeaf a little bit of a let down. It just doesn't seem to fulfil the promise I think the Ale tries to deliver by it's name, colour and flavour. There are better Tomos Watkin ales.
