Tally Ho! by Palmers

Tally Ho! Palmers Strong Ale gets a tasting. Looks the hallmarks of a dark fruit, treacle and raisins.

Type: Strong Ale
ABV: 5.5%
Brewery: Palmers

Their strongest regular production Ale, Tally Ho! looks like the perfect beer for the colder months. Dark brown in appearance, the flavour profile is dark fruits, with burnt coffee, treacle and raisins.

While I'm down in these necks of the wood's where Palmers beers are readily available, I always give the Tally Ho! a go. Unfortunately, production from previous years I feel have been better. The beer itself seems a little more watery and two dimensional this time around.

A year ago when I sampled this last I would readily give this at least an eight, but not this time. Something has slipped.
