The Celt Experience's Bleddyn 1075 is their Strong Ale that bursts with Hop flavours. Atlantic and New Zealand hops gives this an American craft beer style.

Type: Strong Ale
ABV: 5.6%
Brewery: The Celt Experience

Bleddyn 1075 is a Strong Ale from The Celt Experience. Weighing in at 5.6% ABV, this is heavily hopped with Atlantic and New Zealand varieties. Yep, I said it, Bleddyn 1075 contains hops from America. Therefore, you know this Beer is going to be hop forward, so I expect a lot of citrus, grapefruit flavours.

The Celt Experience's Bleddyn 1075 poured into my Great Welsh Beer and Cider Festival 2010 glass.

On the nose, there's a barrage of grapefruit and pineapple aromas. Everything about Bleddyn 1075 points towards your contemporary, heavily hopped Ale along the lines of Thornbridge's Jaipur and Brewdog's Punk IPA. That ain't a bad thing, as Bleddyn 1075 is Jaipur's and Punk IPA's equal. The bitter flavours, leads to a citrus, dry, grapefruit finish. There's a lot of fruit here, there's no malt, let me tell you.

So here we are. Bleddyn 1075, we have a Beer from Wales that matches the quality of some of the best British Indian Pale Ale's that come up in discussions as leaders in the Craft Ale Revolution. The Celt Experience, I salute you on an excellent Beer. If you're stuck in Wales, then hunt this Bottled Beer out, it's excellent, so excellent. An easy 8.25 out of 10.
